Prof. Preston and her colleagues, Sara McLafferty, University of Illinois, and Monika Maciejewska, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, have just published a new Research Digest on Gender, Immigration, and Commuting in Metropolitan Canada.

The Research Digest assesses the transportation needs of recent immigrants noting that women are much more reliant on public transit, walking, and biking than men.
