Ph.D. Candidate in Policy Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University
Sohail Shahidnia is a Ph.D. Candidate in Policy Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is currently working as a Co-Principal Investigator with Professor Sutama Ghosh on a SSHRC funded project, titled, "COVID-19 challenges and resilience of international students and local institutions in the city of Greater Sudbury''.
With his lived experiences as an international student, and while working on several research projects (as a research assistant) in migration studies, Sohail has been developing particular expertise on the migration and settlement experiences of immigrants and refugees in Canada in general, and international students' pathways of integration into the Canadian society.

Sohail Shahidnia est un candidat au doctorat en études politiques à l'Université Ryerson. Il travaille actuellement en tant que cochercheur principal avec le professeur Sutama Ghosh sur un projet financé par le CRSH, intitulé " COVID-19 challenges and resilience of international students and local institutions in the city of Greater Sudbury ".
Grâce à ses expériences vécues en tant qu'étudiant international, et tout en travaillant sur plusieurs projets de recherche (en tant qu'assistant de recherche) en études migratoires, Sohail a développé une expertise particulière sur les expériences de migration et d'établissement des immigrants et des réfugiés au Canada en général, et sur les voies d'intégration des étudiants internationaux dans la société canadienne.
