Janice is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, at York University. Her research interests include racial and ethnic identities, migration, and immigrant integration. She has published reports with Mandell, N., J. Hemphill, J. Phonepraseuth, and J. Borras in 2019 on “Settlement Experiences of Recently Arrived Seniors”, and with Mandell, N., J. Borras, J. and J. Phonepraseuth in 2018 on “Recent Canadian Immigrant Seniors: Settlement Experiences and Services” in the Immigration and Refugee Citizenship Canada, Ottawa, ON as well as and journal article with Mandell, N., L. Lam, J. Borras, and J. Phonepraseuth in 2018 on “Living on the margins: Economic security among senior immigrants in Canada in the Special Issue on Social Inequality & the Spectre of Social Justice, Alternate Routes.
