Dipti Patel works as a Program Manager, Local Immigration Partnership at York Region. Dipti is internationally trained professional with Masters in Public Health (USA); Masters in Social Work (India). She has extensive work experience working with United States Agencies for International Development (USAID) and UN funded community health and nutrition projects in India. The project management included conceptualizing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of the projects along with managing policies, communication strategies and stakeholder management at international, national, provincial and regional levels.

In Canada, I have more than 8 years of experience managing Local Immigration Partnership projects at Chatham-Kent, Guelph and York Region. It involves working with multiple stakeholders ranging from community partners to provincial and federal ministries. My work expertise besides project management includes Research and Program Evaluation. The research reports: “Exploring the Impacts of Regulatory Change on Temporary Foreign Workers in Chatham Kent” was published in OCASI Newsletter in 2014 and “2016 Guelph Wellington Immigrant Survey Report” as released by GWLIP in 2017. I bring “lived in” immigrant experience to the service planning table for improving integration of newcomers in the community.
