The Toronto City Network met on Wednesday October 16 at Ryerson University to discuss the proposal review options. The meeting explored the complex process of framing resilience and resistance, as well as the adoption of a unique lens that contributes to the notion of “transformative resistance”. It was pointed out that the proposed research on resilience is not about the study of heroic individuals but about collective actions and systemic changes. The study will aim to shed light on what does the system needs to do to address systemic needs of immigrants.
