May 2019 PI update

I know everyone joins me in welcoming Chedly Belkhodja, our colleague and co-investigator, who has returned from leave; you can put his email back in your address book. I also want to welcome Paul Bachellerie whom many of you met at the Kitchener-Waterloo meeting. Joining us from École Nationale des Travaux Publics de l'État at the University of Lyons, Paul is completing a 12-week internship working with John Shields and Mireille Paquet to help us document settlement services in Quebec. As their professional lives have taken new directions, Yogendra Shakya and Mikal Skuterud have left the partnership. On behalf of the entire partnership, I want to thank them for their contributions.

I am thrilled to congratulate Sabrina Rajpaul, the partnership’s Communications and Administrative Assistant, who has completed her BA and will begin graduate studies at OISE in the fall. While everyone in the partnership will miss her expertise and hard work, it is a pleasure to see students graduate and move on with their lives.

I want to welcome two new members of the partnership. I am very happy to report that Beverly George will be monitoring the bmrcirmu@yorku.ca account and doing many other tasks as the new Communications and Administrative Assistant. We are also fortunate that Yomna Elzony is joining the partnership as a Knowledge Mobilization Assistant for the summer. Everyone at the Secretariat appreciates your patience during the transition.
Cheers
Valerie
